Fall Colors – Michaux Forest & Kings Gap

165 miles of backroad sweepers from Mt Airy, Md through Thurmont and into the Michaux Forest to enjoy a picnic lunch and the beautiful views of Cumberland Valley from the King’s Gap Environmental Education Center. The return trip from there will be through the apple country near Ortanna, Pa then Emmitsburg and back to Mt. Airy.

8:30 am: Link up at the Shell gas station, 649 Lakeview Dr, Mt Airy
8:45 am: Riders’ brief and divide into smaller on-road groups
9:00 am: Side stands up

Please be prepared with bikes in good order and with a full tank of gas. We’ll stop every 60-90 minutes for gas/bio breaks. Bring lunch or pick up something along the way, but save room for Jimmie Cone at the ride’s conclusion.
