This route leaves West-Mar and goes to Washington Monument State Park. And no, it’s not that Washington Monument! This was the first monument erected to honor our first president. It is at the crest of a hill with quite a view of the valleys nearby. This route also visits Gathland State Park and Nutters Ice Cream store in Sharpsburg.
