Ride For Kids 5/18

Ride For Kids — Aloha Shirt Squad

We are proud to announce our Annual Ride For Kids ride scheduled for Saturday, May 18 at the Tiki Bar in Solomons Island, Maryland! We are encouraging riders in the region of all brands to set aside this weekend to enjoy a spectacular venue in a beautiful location beloved by bikers from all over the mid-Atlantic region. We encourage riders to consider staying overnight to enjoy the fun times at the Tiki Bar and the array of restaurants and coffee hangouts on the island.

Last year we implemented a model that is being refined in 2024 with the help of the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation and the BMW Motorcycle Owners Association (BMW MOA). Last year, we organized Meetup rides from the four main BMW dealerships in the region: Bob's Motorcycles, District BMW, Motorcycles of Dulles and Morton's BMW.

Stay tuned for further details.

Michael Battaglia - Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation

Michael serves at the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation as the Fundraising and Community Engagement Manager for Ride for Kids. He has supported organizations across the United States with the important cause of supporting medical research to find cures for the alarming number of cancers that are now striking children. For this year's ride, PBTF will be encouraging riders from all across the mid-Atlantic region to participate in this year's Ride for Kids with the aim of implementing a similar model (riders from multiple dealerships and multiple clubs converging onto 1 location) in other regions of the country.

Bob Henig - Ride for Kids Sponsor and Owner of Bob's Motorcycles

Bob Henig has been a tremendous force of inspiration and energy behind the Ride For Kids annual ride. As one of the main benefactors of this event during past years, Bob has been an invaluable source to our Club of experience and contacts to mobilize the business and philanthropic community in favor of the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation.
